GEO Prep Academy is consistently recognized as a “Top Gains” school by the Louisiana Department of Education for our academic excellence. An open enrollment public school, GEO Prep offers before and after care, small class sizes of 20-22 students per classroom with a teacher and an assistant in every classroom. The school’s student retention rate is among the highest in the city with more than 80% of students choosing to return year after year. Many spend their entire K-8 career with us and graduate to attend GEO Next Generation High School where they complete college diplomas before graduating from high school–earned by the students, pad for by the school. Our staff are seasoned professionals from Baton Rouge and our staff retention rate is also among the highest in the city with 80% choosing to remain year after year. Our school is data driven and works to help our students catch up, keep up and accelerate through to the next level. We offer many extracurriculars including marching band, dance, arts. and multiple sports including basketball, track, volleyball and more.
